Whether you loved them or hated them (or even saw them at all), you're probably at least aware of the Rex Harrison musical and the more recent Eddie Murphy "Dolittle" comedies. But did you know that the good Doctor's story had been adapted for radio during that medium's Golden Age? Were you aware that Lofting's veterinary hero was the subject of an animated film by a pre-Disney pioneer of the genre? And can you who are of a certain age recall a 1970's Saturday morning cartoon about the man who talked to the animals? Above are listed all of the Dolittle adaptations of which I am aware.
