The "Doctor Dolittle" Radio Serial (1933-34)-- I suppose I should have added "and Radio" after "and Screen" in this section's title, because the second Doctor Dolittle adaptation of which I'm aware went out exclusively over the airwaves. That's right; from January 1933 to January, 1934, in two fifteen-minute shows per week, the NBC Blue Network broadcast a "Doctor Dolittle" radio program. Though that would seem to add up to a lot of air time, no recorded broadcasts appear to have survived the era. [But I still have a few unexplored, possible sources of information on this program, so watch this space to see if my research bears fruit.] More to come...
