"Voyages of Doctor Dolittle" TV Cartoon (1984)-- This cartoon made the list on the basis of the slimmest of evidence--one paragraph in one reference book (Hal Erickson's Television Cartoon Shows- An Illustrated Encyclopedia 1949-1993, published by Mc Farland & Co. in 1995). And even that book's animation expert author doesn't claim to have seen the program, but he quotes "cartoon historian Jeff Lenburg" in describing it as a weekly series, of which 13 episodes were produced, pairing the Doctor with two young apprentices (Tommy Stubbins and a new character, Maggie Thompson) for round-the-world adventures in naturalism.
